World Cancer Day is an initiative by UICC (Union for International Cancer Control) under which the entire world can unite together in the fight against the global cancer epidemic. It takes place every year on 4 February. In accordance with UICC’s campaign, CPAA organises symposiums, open forum lectures, awareness talks and entertainment programs for patients in the first week of February. Eminent oncologists and noted doctors participate in the open forum programs to deliver informative and thought-provoking lectures on the relevant topics pertaining to cancer.

Doctors, students and people from different walks of life interactively participated in such forums. Cancer awareness talks that are in-line with the global World Cancer Day message are organised for various groups. Outings and entertainment programs are also organised for patient groups from hospitals and treatment centers.
