Ghazal Khazana, a joint effort by Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) and Parents’ Association Thalassemic Unit Trust, spear-headed by Mrs Rekha Sapru and Padmashri Pankaj Udhas respectively, is annually held in the month of July at the Oberoi Hotels & Resorts Mumbai. This annual event raises funds for Cancer and Thalassemic patients and children while providing a rare opportunity for Ghazal aficionados to experience the rich and vibrant performances of India’s top performers. With what began in the year 2002 as a platform for Ghazal artists to come together to showcase their talent to a select audience that appreciated their music, Khazana has indeed come a long way. Over the years, many artists new and old have lent their support to this cause whilst giving us a glimpse of their poetic and musical prowess. CPAA and PATUT salute these truly gifted artists with their soulful melodies that make this event a true Treasure…a real Khazana !
